The Captain

Capt. Craig Korczynski grew up in Palm Beach County, spending countless hours exploring local docks, flats, seawalls and waterways in search of his next catch. Today, he is a full-time professional fishing guide, USCG 100-ton Master Captain, and owner and operator of Phlats Guide Services. Since 2003, his guiding experience has extended from Stuart through southern Palm Beach County, with a year-round specialty in snook and tarpon fishing.

From saltwater to freshwater, Capt. Craig helps anglers pursue South Florida species using artificial lures, live bait and fly-fishing techniques. Every charter is customized for the conditions, targeted species and experience level of the anglers. Beginners, families and seasoned fishermen can expect a safe, educational and memorable day on the water.

Capt. Craig has spent more than 20 years professionally guiding anglers, operating vessels and working with Sea Tow Palm Beach. His extensive time on the water has strengthened his knowledge of navigation, boating safety, changing conditions and the habitats where predatory fish feed and seek shelter. He believes that safety and local knowledge are among the most valuable things a professional captain can provide.

A family man and lifelong angler, Capt. Craig enjoys fishing and diving with his kids. His passion for teaching led him to establish School of Fish Academy, where he provides youth fishing camps and homeschool programs throughout the year. Students receive hands-on instruction in fishing fundamentals, conservation, habitat, marine life, boating safety and local history.
