January 26, 2023 Inshore Report
Slight warming trend the past week led to beautiful weather and consistent fishing. Light winds and water temperatures rising into the low 70s, the bite is on.
Snook anglers enjoyed rod bending action along docks and mangrove shorelines. Snook have been schooled up and all fours species of snook have been caught by anglers. Live baits and DOA Terror Eyz have been the go to choice to get the strike.
Deep holes have been great area to target as wide variety of species. Spansish mackerel, bluefish, jacks, ladyfish, barracuda, sharks and and other species have been abundant. Live baits, buck tail jigs and even fly fishing have been tactics to get the drag screaming.
Last Saturday we had our girls only fishing event for our School Of fish youth kids fishing camp. It was a great success with 92 fish being caught in four hours, 8 total anglers. A plethora of species were caught mutton snapper, lane snapper, yellow tail, grunts, drum, jacks just to name a few. Great job girls!
Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch a them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!
