April 19, 2022 Inshore Fishing Report

The snook fishing is heating up big snook are on the move being found near sea walls and docks. DOA C.A.L. 3” shad tail and live baits entice strikes. Anglers are having fun catching all fours species of snook during an outing. The snook will soon be gathering into deep channels and inlets where anglers can target snook in the 10 to 20 lb range.

Tarpon action has kept anglers bowing to the king. Live baits and Rapala twitchin rap provokes strikes. Tarpon can be seen rolling allowing anglers to cast in there vicinity. Fly anglers can enjoy great surface strikes as tarpon inhale the bait. Tarpon are ranging in size from 10 to 50 pounds.

Jacks are always an angler favorite, they pull hard and get the drag screaming. Great for those who like non stop action jacks are willing to bite DOA C.A.L. 3” shad tail and any live bait.

Freshwater bite has been great for the peacock bass working sea walls and docks with small Rapala twitchin raps and live shiners. The hotter the better for these exotic beauties. The clown knife fish are also putting a bend in the rod for anglers. These creatures can found near bridge piles and along drop offs.
